The Syrian Democratic Forces on Tuesday issued a statement announcing the "Terrorism Defeat Battle", the final phase of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.

The statement was read at a press conference held in al-Shadadi district of al-Hasakah canton in al-Jazera region, where it was read in Arabic by the official spokesperson of al-Jazeera Tempest campaign, Lailawa al-Abdullah, with the attendance of many of the commanders of SDF and dozens of Media

The text of the statement:

"Terrorism Defeat Battle is the culmination of al-Jazeera Tempest

A year has passed since our forces launched a campaign to liberate the villages of Deir ez-Zor and al-Hasakah, where hundreds of villages and hundreds of thousands of civilians have been liberated from the hands of the ISIS the terrorist organization, and the liberation of vast areas of these two provinces, in cooperation and coordination between our forces and the International Alliance through air support and artillery, only Hajin area and its countryside remained under the control of the ISIS terrorist organization.

On the evening of September 10, 2018, our forces launched the final phase of their victorious campaigns and their last battle east of the Euphrates, on the name of Terrorism Defeat Battle, and the four battles aimed at eliminating ISIS organization in its last strongholds and liberating villages and towns of Hajin, al-Sosa, and al-Shafa with the villages and fields belonged to it, in a geographic area of (35 km) and (10 km) wide, as a culmination of the results of our previous campaigns in al-Jazeera Tempest.

In the final phase of the campaign, the brigades of the Military Council of Deir ez-Zor, with the support of units and formations of People's anad Women's Protection Units and the border guards and an effective participation of special forces battalions of YPG and YPJ with effective support from the international alliance aircraft in coordination with the Iraqi Army, is also providing artillery support to our forces by bombing the terrorists' fixed targets.

We at the Syrian Democratic Forces, while reaffirming our determination to move forward to end terrorism in the east of the Euphrates, will spare no effort to do everything we can with regard to our humanitarian obligations, where our forces have provided a humanitarian crossing to evacuate civilians along the town of al- Bahra, and our specialized brigades in the preparation of an emergency shelter camp to provide logistical and medical services to the displaced, similarly, our forces will respond positively to any information related to the fate of the abducted, and will do its best to know the fate of those abductees.
