The Syrian Interim Government allowed cars to pass in both directions between Aleppo and Deir Hafir in North and East Syria this evening.

The government had closed the Aleppo–Deir Hafir road on September 27, completely halting traffic along the route.

Limited traffic movement was observed on the road this evening, amid the absence of any official statements from the Interim Government regarding whether the reopening is permanent or temporary. This has raised questions among travelers and bus drivers, especially given previous experiences with the Tabqa–Salamiyah road, which faced repeated closures before being shut down indefinitely.
