Deir Hafir Bakery reopens after mercenaries of Interim Government attack

Mercenaries of the interim government, backed by the Turkish occupation, targeted the civilian Deir Hafir bakery, threatening to deprive 40,000 residents of bread.

The bakery was struck today by a drone attack, causing material damage and forcing it to shut down after the electricity generator supplying the facility was directly targeted.

The bakery’s maintenance team carried out urgent emergency repairs, allowing the bakery to resume work.

It is worth noting that the Deir Hafir city bakery produces 13,500 bundles of bread daily, distributed to 17,000 families with an estimated population of around 40,000 people.

The bakery is considered the largest in Deir Hafir city and its countryside, and the main source of bread for more than half of the city’s residents and nearby villages.

Residents of Deir Hafir and surrounding villages are living in a state of fear due to repeated attacks on the city and its countryside by mercenaries of the interim government.

Most shops in the city have closed due to indiscriminate and repeated shelling by these mercenaries. Several service institutions have been targeted, including the post office and the fodder center, while drone aircraft continue to fly over the city.
