ISIS cells target security forces center in rural Deir ez-Zor

A security forces center in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, located in the North and East Syria region, was targeted by ISIS mercenaries. In the aftermath of the attack, the area is witnessing heightened security measures.

The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria announced that one of their centers in eastern rural Deir ez-Zor was attacked by ISIS gangs.

According to details provided in a recently issued statement, the forces stated:

"At exactly 8:30 PM on Sunday, March 2, an ISIS-affiliated terrorist group, riding motorcycles, targeted the Public Prosecution building in the Al-Basira area."

The statement confirmed: "Our forces immediately responded to the source of the gunfire, forcing the attackers to flee without causing any casualties among our personnel."

The statement further noted that:

"Security authorities continue their preliminary investigations, alongside search and reconnaissance operations, to identify and track down those responsible for this terrorist act."

Additionally, the security forces reaffirmed their commitment to "continuing efforts to pursue terrorist elements and bring them to justice in accordance with legal procedures."
