People of al-Hasakah :' Afrin Will be liberated by the people's will'

Thousands of people demonstrated in the city of al-Hasaka, a year after the occupation of Afrin by the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries.

The demonstrators gathered in Sinalco Roundabout raising flags of Kongra Star, flags of the Democratic Union Party, pictures of martyrs, flags and Kurdish symbols.

For their part, the event was attended by shop owners who closed their shops .

On arrival at the Syriac Martyrs Square demonstrators held a minute of silence, then Hussein Azzam on behalf of the Autonomous Administration, delivered a speech in which he denounced the Turkish occupation of Afrin.

Azzam confirmed that Afrin fell as a result of international treachery despite its resistance for 58 days and said: "Afrin will be liberated by the will of the people."

Shirin Osso also delivered a speech on behalf of Kongra and said "We, as a people who believe in the democratic nation, say that all peoples supported the people of Afrin. The Turkish state wanted to break the will of the people but it failed, and the continuation of our revolution for eight years is the biggest proof of that."
