Pharmacist: Patients lose their lives daily in Kobane due to shortage of essential medicines

The pharmacist Aram Ali warned of the dire consequences of the siege imposed on the city of Kobane, emphasizing that the health and humanitarian situation i deteriorati daily. He stated, "Before the siege, Kobane Hospital used to receive around 800 patients, but today it only admits critical cases. Medicines and baby formula are almost nonexistent as a result of the city being besieged from all sides."

He explained that medications for blood pressure, diabetes, epilepsy, and antibiotics are extremely scarce, and the hospital's dialysis unit has ceased operations. He added that mercenaries are imposing a suffocating siege, launching repeated attacks, and preventing any humanitarian aid from reaching the city.

Ali stressed that the continuation of this situation will lead to a major catastrophe, noting, "The war is ongoing, the wounded are numerous, there are no surgical facilities available, and medicines are scarce. Some of the injured are losing their lives due to the lack of resources."

Aram Ali issued an urgent appeal to lift the siege and end the attacks on Kobane, demanding that humanitarian aid be sent as quickly as possible.
