The family of Abdul Karim Fatu, known in the city of Qamishlo in al-Jazzera region in North Syria, was composed of 11 people, living in a three-storey building in al-Gharbi neoghborhood in the city , 8 of them were killed in the terrorist attack that targeted the city on 27 July 2016, whose names are Abd al-Karim Fatu, his wife Del Faraz Yildirm, his daughter Sherine Abdel-Karim Fato, and his daughter's wife Samir Fato, who was pregnant with twins in her sixth month. Abeer Hamid Saed, her two children, Abdel Karim Samir, 6, Reem Samir, 4, and wife of his son Bayan Sarokhan, whose age, 31 (the wife of Nazir Fato) and her baby Abdelkrim Nazir in his month Both Nazir and Samir had left the house early to work, but Billa miraculously survived andshe has severely suffered wounds to the limbs, back and abdomen.

Billa is now caring for the children of her two siblings , Nazir and Samir, who lost their wives in the bombing, although they did not completely recover from the blast. She still sees the scene of the explosion on a daily basis and never passes by the place of the explosion.

The day of the bombing

Billa explained that the family and as usual were eating breakfast, and moments later heard the sound of a huge explosion and the house collapsed over them. "I no longer felt anything just breathing, and then I opened my eyes in the hospital."

She said that her father Abdul Karim Fato who was martyred after the bombing, told them constantly that "a tent in the homeland is better than a palace outside the homeland." So she will never leave her land and the land of her father."

She praised the efforts of the residents of the neighborhood of al-Gharbi who have completed their wounds and began to renovate and rebuild their homes, and attributed this to the will and steadfastness of the residents of the neighborhood.

He was also shot during the bombing by Bella's son, Bilchin Khurshid, 21, who was studying general medicine in Lattakia, and Dr. Castro Khurshid, a 32-year-old orthopedic doctor.

On the morning of July 27, 2016, a terrorist bombing was carried out by the detonation of a large truck loaded with explosives in al-Gharbi neighborhood in Qamishlo city , killing 62 civilians, mostly women and children, and injuring 176 others.
