"In spirit of Zilan, Avista, Barin, we to liberate Afrin"

Kongra Star organized a demonstration on the 22nd anniversary of the martyrdom of the fighter Zilan, and thousands of people from Afrin and al-Shahba cantons, all the members of the civil institutions of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons, and all the components of Afrin region; Kurds, Arabs and Turkmens participated in the demonstration chanting the slogans which condemn the Turkish occupation of Afrin.

The protesters launched from the playground of Tel Shaeer village chanting the slogans that salute the resistance of the martyr Zilan and the Resistance of the Age in Afrin.

The demonstrators marched through the streets of Tel Shaeer village and headed towards Babens village in Fafin district.

As the demonstrators reached Babens village, they held a minute of silence.

Then, a speech was delivered on behalf of the coordination of Kongra Star by Zilan Khebat who said, "We are the pupils of the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Ocalan, and follow his free democratic ideology and philosophy, and in redemption for spreading this free thought, hundreds of women made sacrifices and carried out guerilla operations. We pledged to follow the footsteps of all fighters of freedom."

Furthermore, the demonstration ended with chanting the slogans which salute the resistance of Afrin's women and denounced the Turkish occupation.
