Kongra Star in Afrin organized a sit-in in Aqiba village of Şêrawa district which lasted three days in a row under the slogan "Afrin or Afrin", with the participation of women and residents of Afrin and al-Shahba cantons, including members of councils and communes and the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Women's organizations.

Hevin Suleiman said that the effectiveness of the sit-in held in Şêrawa district ​​came in implementation of the resolutions of Afrin liberation conference, which was approved at Kongra Star held in the previous period. It also comes within the campaign of Kongra Star of "Revolt for Afrin Women".

She noted that the purpose of the activity is to show women their will and strength and emphasize their support for "freedom fighters, and the fighters of People's Protection Units who avenge for the people of Afrin resisting in al-Shahba canton by carrying out military operations within Afrin, which provides the people and women of Afrin with high morale and strength, the activity will be a firm response to the violations of the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation army, which is conducting ethnic and cultural genocide in Afrin. "

She also criticized international silence and humanitarian and women's organizations about the abuse, rape and murder of the women of Afrin, and using her as a commodity without stirring of the international community, calling the international community to clarify its position to humanity.

Hevin Sulaiman appealed to organizations that claim to be human and support women to clarify their position and not to remain silent about the file of the occupation of Afrin.
