SOHR: 37 people killed, injured in Daraa during September

Thirty-seven people were killed and injured in various incidents in Daraa, amid ongoing chaos, security breakdown, and the absence of safety and accountability.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported the death of 11 people and the injury of 26 others in 24 incidents of security chaos in Daraa, southern Syria, during the current month of September.

These figures indicate the extent of the deterioration of the security situation in Daraa, especially after the Damascus government conducted what is referred to as "settlements," amidst the multiple allegiances of the armed groups, which contributes to the ongoing killings and assassinations targeting military figures and former leaders of the "opposition."

Observers see clear indications that the security apparatus of the Damascus government is behind the ongoing chaos, which has escalated to the point of roadblocks and the abduction of citizens, both Syrians and Jordanians.

Recently, groups engaged in kidnapping have become active on the main roads in the area, which has turned into a stage for abductions, killings, and assassinations.
