Rojava youths in Lebanon denounced Turkish attacks

BEIRUT

Dozens of young people gathered at the headquarters of Newroz Cultural and Social Association in Beirut, holding pictures of the martyr Zeki Şengali and the Kurdish leader Abdullah Ocalan to make a statement to the public opinion to denounce the Turkish attacks on northern Syria and Başûr Kurdistan as the latest of which was on Şengal area.

The statement was read by the member of Youth Union Dilan Hassen which noted,

"We condemn and denounce the attacks of the Turkish occupation army on the territories of South Kurdistan and denounce the recent attack on Şengal, where it targeted the commander in the Democratic Society Organization Mam Zeki Şengali amid silence by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP).

As Rojava youths in Lebanon, we express our categorical rejection of the attacks launched by the Turkish army on Başûr Kurdistan and the silence of Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan. We will always refuse all practices targeting freedom and democracy seekers.

These malicious crimes committed by Turkey against our people are attempts to break the will of our people and force them to submit, but we are determined to continue the struggle on the path of the martyrs and we will not tolerate the will of our people. Turkey tries through these heinous attacks to target our people to avenge its mercenaries.

We also condemn the isolation imposed on the leader Abdullah Ocalan and call on the United Nations (UN) and the international community to intervene and release him immediately."
