Following the start of Turkish occupation attacks on North and East Syria in late November, the Autonomous Administration and the SDF declared a state of mobilization and general call to arms in response to the assaults.

In this context, the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union in Tal Tamr, Jazera Canton, responded to the call from the SDF and announced their participation in the general mobilization through a statement issued to the public, attended by dozens of the city’s youth.

The statement was read in Kurdish by movement member Sahar Suleiman and in Arabic by member Sevin Haitham Ibrahim.

The statement addressed the crimes committed by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries against civilians in Tal Tamr and its countryside, highlighting that the recent escalation by Turkish forces in Manbij, Kobani, and Tal Tamr, including air and artillery strikes on infrastructure, aims to displace residents and threaten their security.

The statement emphasized: “The Turkish aggression on our peaceful cities is a blatant violation, and we, in the Syrian Revolutionary Youth Movement and the Young Women’s Union in Tal Tamr, reaffirm our full support for the SDF in confronting this aggression.”

The statement added: “We pledge to our people that we will remain a strong and steadfast shield alongside our military forces to repel the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries and liberate the occupied territories.”

This announcement comes at a critical time as the North and East Syria region experiences severe escalation by Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries, increasing the importance of popular efforts to support the resistance and the struggle for freedom and the recovery of occupied areas.
