International support campaigns continued towards the violations of the leader Abdullah Ocalan's rights at the hands of the Turkish state inside Imrali prison, which deprives him of all the rights guaranteed to him by international and humanitarian law and even what Turkish laws stipulated.

The Turkish state imposes what it calls "disciplinary penalties" on leader Abdullah Ocalan every six months, and prevents him from communicating with the outside, which violates the minimum standard rules for the treatment of prisoners in the Global Charter on Human Rights.

In this context, the Egyptian writer residing in Austria and the founder of the International Federation of Egyptian Citizens Abroad, Bahgat al-Obaidi, considered that "the issue of the great Kurdish fighter leader Abdullah Ocalan will remain a point of shame not only in the forehead of the Turkish state, but also in the forehead of the international community as long as it continues to be complicit with the Turkish government in what you do it with the great fighter Abdullah Ocalan."

The founder of the International Federation of Egyptian Citizens Abroad stressed that "the Turkish authorities by depriving Ocalan of communication with the outside reflects the terror in which Ankara lives from the Kurdish leader, even while he is in his prison and under the control of the Turkish regime's security forces."

He continued: "Turkey violates all international conventions, as it does not adhere to the minimum standard in the treatment of prisoners in the United Nations Charter, which stipulates that every pretrial detainee or prisoner has the right to inform members of his family or any other persons of his choice, and it falls on authority to implement it.

According to the founder of the International Federation of Egyptian Citizens Abroad, "what Turkey is doing to prevent Ocalan from external communication is not only a violation of international covenants, but it is also a flagrant violation of Turkish law, which guarantees every prisoner communication with his lawyer, and this confirms the unsurprising part of the Turkish authorities."
