Despite their displacement, still happy to arrive safe areas

5,000 and 257 families from Deir ez-Zor, some of them from Iraq arrived to al-Hol camp, that is, 18,000 and 721 displaced persons, with the help of the Syrian Democratic Forces, to be added to 24,000 displaced and refugees in al-Hol camp before, 5,000 displaced persons are still without tents and suffer shortage in supplies.

ANHA agency has met with many displaced people. They expressed their happiness and gratitude to SDF.

The displaced woman, Fatma al-Khalil, said" we suffered from many difficulties as killing, hunger, and torture during the control of IS of al-Kishma. 

She added that her child was dehydrated because IS had prevented her to get out for treatment or bring food for him, especially since baby formula was not available there.

Fatima expressed her happiness at the Syrian Democratic Forces’ reception of them in their areas. Fatima Khalil demanded from the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to help them and provide their needs.

The displaced from Deir ez-Zor, Mahdi Saleh, said, "We were displaced for fear of safety of our children and ourselves, we were subjected to a lot of troubles and injustice because of IS, we are now in safe areas, but we have not brought our needs, so we ask the organizations to secure us with tents and shelters."

On regard of the situations in the camp, the administrator in al-Hol camp, Muhammad Ali, said, " according to the new arrivals, more than 18 000 displaced persons, at the beginning of the displacement, there were no difficulties, but now, as the number increased, we face many problems in distributing the tents, where there are 5,000 persons in the reception tents, we do not have enough tents for them". 

Muhammad Ali appealed to the international organizations, saying, "We are in winter and the displaced are exposed to cold, we demand from the organizations to provide aids and tents immediately.”
