The mercenaries of the Turkish occupation state in the occupied Syrian areas are experiencing a state of confusion and internal conflicts, with the continued talk of rapprochement between the Turkish occupation and the Damascus government, especially after the opening of the crossings between the two parties, amid the ongoing meetings between Russian and Turkish Intelligence Services to open other crossings.

The latest coordination between the two parties was a meeting held in the city of Saraqib in the Idlib countryside, in which the two sides, the Russian and Turkish, discussed "the opening of the northern Syrian highways "M4" in addition to providing additional protection for the "M5" Aleppo-Damascus road," according to the Syrian Observatory.

The mercenaries fear a fate similar to the fate of many Syrian areas that Turkey previously handed over to the Damascus government in exchange for certain deals.

Political activist Asaad Mannan pointed out that the Turkish occupation state is the one that created and supported the mercenaries since the beginning of the Syrian crisis in order to achieve its interests and ambitions in Syria.

"At the beginning of the crisis in Syria, the demonstrations were peaceful, but after the Turkish occupation Intervention, it opened its borders to encourage immigration and displacement, and it also formed mercenary groups and named them with Ottoman names to become a tool for implementing its plans" Mannan said.

He added: "The mercenary groups have become a puppet in the hands of the Turkish occupation state, as it uses them in Libya, Azerbaijan and other countries."

Regarding Turkey's efforts to bring the two regimes closer, Mannan said: "Erdogan is now working on bringing the two regimes closer, because he was unable to break the will of the Kurdish people and eliminate coexistence between all components of NE Syria since 2011, and Erdogan has no choice but to bring them closer to Bashar al-Assad." He stressed that "the biggest loser from this rapprochement are the mercenary groups."

Asaad Mannan also slammed the position of the KDP and the Kurdish National Council, which overlook the crimes of the Turkish occupation in Afrin and seek to legitimize this occupation.
