The Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries abducted 81 people in occupied Afrin, located in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, during August.

The Violations Documentation Center in North and East Syria published a report detailing the abductions in occupied Afrin during August, stating that 81 people were kidnapped by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries. The report included the following details:

“- August 1, 2024: 

 The Sultan Murad faction of the   National Army mercenaries abducted two citizens, Hassan Ali Ali (47) and Muhammad Ali Ali (33), after storming their homes in Jindires, Afrin.

The  National Army mercenaries also abducted Abdulrahman Rasul (42) from the village of Afrizah, Ma'batli district, from his cousin’s house in the Al-Zaydia neighborhood and took him to an unknown destination. His fate remains unknown.

Additionally, the National Army mercenaries kidnapped Muhammad Abdulrahman (55) from the village of Kawurka, Jindires district, and took him to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, the National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Fawzi bin Mustafa (44) from the village of Kakhera in Ma'batli district after storming his home near the Nowruz Roundabout in Afrin. He was engaged in the trade and distribution of vehicle and tractor tires.

 In the Ma'batli district, the National Army mercenaries abducted Omar Muhammad Rashid Alu Kilo (35) from the village of Mirkan (Hessiyeh) and took him to an unknown destination.

Furthermore, the National Army mercenaries detained Bahoz Adham Ibrahim Hamkali (27) from the village of Telaf in the Jindires district, and his fate remains unknown.

- August 2, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries in Afrin abducted two citizens from the Shirawa district, Ahmed Khalil Ali from the village of Kbashin and Khalil Ibrahim Shaouti from the village of Fafretin. They were taken to the mercenaries' headquarters in the city.

The military police of the National Army mercenaries abducted Jawaan Hamid Horo (42) from the village of Awka, Bulbul district, who resided in the Ashrafiyeh neighborhood of Afrin. He was taken to a security headquarters, and his fate remains unknown.

Additionally, the military police abducted Muhammad Saeed Omar (43) from the village of Khilneirah, Afrin district, and took him to an unknown location.

Moreover, at the Qatmah checkpoint in Sharran district, the military police abducted Reber Fawzi Ahmed (46) from the village of Hessiyeh (Mirkan) in Ma'batli district, along with his wife Susan and their two daughters, as they passed through the checkpoint while coming from the Kurdistan region.

- August 3, 2024: 

The Suleiman Shah (Al-Amshat) faction of the National Army mercenaries abducted Omar Muhammad Alu from the village of Mirkan in Ma'batli district, demanding a $1,000 ransom for revealing his whereabouts.

The Political Security branch of the   National Army mercenaries in Afrin abducted the Mukhtar (village head) of Adama village, Adnan Muhammad Ali Haji (63), and his son, Ali Adnan Haji (20), for protesting against the burning of the mountains of Medan villages in the Rajo district.

- August 5, 2024: 

The Political Security branch of the   National Army mercenaries in Afrin abducted Azad Muhammad Rasho (40) from the village of Medana, Rajo district, and took him to the Ma’rata prison in Afrin.

- August 6, 2024: 

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries abducted Rashid Shukri Rashid (53) from Jindires district and took him to an unknown destination. Furthermore, Faylaq al-Sham (Legion of Sham) mercenaries abducted two disabled citizens in the village of Midan Akbas, Rajo district: Zakaria Horo (60) and Ziad Horo (25). They were taken to an unknown destination.

- August 7, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Jamal bin Muhyiddin (34) and Muhammad Mustafa bin Sido (29) from the town of Bulbul when they visited the transportation office to register their motorbikes. They were taken to an unknown destination.

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries abducted Mahmoud Muhammad Qartal (32) from the village of Khilaka (Marwiya), Bulbul district, and took him to the Ma’rata prison in Afrin.

- August 8, 2024: 

Near the village of Shankila in the Bulbul district, the National Army mercenaries abducted Ziad Muhammad Muhammad (45) and Jihad Muhammad Ibrahim (50) from Jindires district, along with Muhammad Ibrahim (32) from Rajo district. They were taken to an unknown destination.

Additionally, in Jindires district, the   National Army mercenaries abducted Salah Ahmed Sweidan (54) from the village of Marouniyeh, Shieh/Sheikh Al-Hadid district, and took him to an unknown destination.

In Azaz, the National Army mercenaries abducted a woman named Nermin Adel Muhammad and her children, along with her brother Malik Adel Muhammad. Their whereabouts remain unknown.

Meanwhile, the National Army mercenaries abducted Ahmed Mustafa bin Muhammad (46) from the town of Bulbul and took him to an unknown destination.

- August 11, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries abducted Rizan Hassan Muhammad (43) from the village of Baflour, Jindires district, from his home near Jihan Hospital in Afrin. His whereabouts remain unknown.

- August 12, 2024: 

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries abducted Abdulrahman Hassan (58) from Jindires district, taking him from his home to an unknown destination. His fate remains unknown.

- August 13, 2024: 

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries stormed the home of Fakhri Rashid Hamo in the village of Ma’rata, Afrin district, abducting him along with his wife Ilham Naiso and their children, Shiyar (4 years old ), Guevara (14 years old ), and Jowan (16 years old ). They also abducted the guests in the house: Luay Muhammad Hamo (24), his wife Fahima Rasho, Amer Hamo, Nouri Hamo, Khalil Rasho, Abdulrahman Hamo, Farhan Rashid Hamo, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, his wife Rankin Hamo, and their child Nasser Al-Ahmed.

- August 14, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Ismail (22) from the village of Ghazawiya, Shirawa district, and Jwan Suleiman (23) from Jindires district, taking them to an unknown destination.

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries stormed several homes near the customs building on Rajo Street in Afrin, conducting random arrests. Those abducted included Nouri Mustafa Hussein, Abdo Mustafa Ahmed, and Luqman Sido (38).

Additionally, the National Army mercenaries abducted an elderly man named Sabri Muhammad Sheikho (60) from the village of Jalamiyah, Jindires district, Afrin, and took him to an unknown destination.

The Sham Front faction of the National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Fakhri Omar (24) from the village of Ashuna in the Bulbul district, along with his wife, demanding a ransom of $3,500 for his release. The couple had been forcibly deported from Turkey.

- August 15, 2024: 

The Military Police of the National Army mercenaries  abducted the Kurdish citizen Dawoud Rashid Akash (46) from the village of Karzili Jih/Sa’idiyah in Bulbul district while he was returning from Aleppo to his village a week earlier, and his fate remains unknown.

- August 17, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Abdo Abdo (30) from the village of Shekhurz, Bulbul district, taking him to an unknown destination.

Additionally, the National Army mercenaries abducted Muhammad Muhammad Hamo (43) and Rifaat Mahmoud Ja’fu (36) from the village of Kurzilah in Shirawa district, taking them to an unknown destination.

The Suleiman Shah faction (Al-Amshat) of the National Army mercenaries abducted several citizens in the village of Qarmitlq, Shieh district, assaulting them for failing to pay additional taxes amounting to $100. Those abducted included Bakr Delka (68), Nouri Jounieh (58), Omar Bilal (61), and Mustafa Bakr Kilo (45).

Meanwhile, the Military Police abducted Hassan Abdo Rashid (45) from the village of Kamarouk, Mabata district, and took him to an unknown destination.

- August 19, 2024: 

The National Army mercenaries in Azaz abducted Riyad Abdulrahman Hassan (42) from the village of Talaf, Jindires district, Afrin, handing him over to the Military Police in the center of the Bulbul district. The National Army mercenaries also abducted Hassan Ali Mustafa (40) from Mabata district, Afrin, taking him to an unknown destination.

- August 20, 2024:

The National Army mercenaries (Military Police) kidnapped the Kurdish citizen "Khushnav Bahri Hassan, 37 years old," from the Al-Mahmudiyah neighborhood in Afrin and took him to an unknown destination.

The National Army mercenaries (Political Security) kidnapped the citizen "Mohammad Mahmoud Dawood, 39 years old," from the village of "Khilanir," west of Afrin, while he was visiting the transportation office in the city to register his motorcycle.

The National Army mercenaries kidnapped the young man "Abdulrahman Mohammad," from the village of "Za'rah" in the Bulbul district, in the city of Azaz. He was coming from the city of Aleppo, where he had been forcibly displaced since 2018. The mercenaries are demanding a ransom of $7,000 from his family for his release.

- August 22, 2024:

- The National Army mercenaries (Military Police) in Jindires kidnapped several citizens after raiding their homes and vandalizing their contents. Those known to have been kidnapped include: Nabhan Hassan Hajjo (52 years old), Hussein Hassan Khorshid (32 years old), Ibrahim Youssef Suleiman (40 years old), Shukri Mustafa Hammo (32 years old), and Salahuddin (55 years old). They were taken to an unknown destination without any information on their fate.

- August 23, 2024:

The National Army mercenaries (Military Police) in Jindires conducted a random search campaign targeting several homes, leading to the abduction of several citizens. Those identified include: Kaniwar Ismail Habash (23 years old), Rashid Rifaat (30 years old) from the village of Koran (Dawzengi), Darwish Al-Madhi (58 years old) from the village of Tal Salour, Muhammad Muhammad Kulin, and Hamid Rashid Habib”.
