According to local sources from inside the occupied city of Afrin, the Turkish occupation mercenaries set fire to the area extending between the villages of Adamo, Albiska and Belliko, of Rajo in the occupied city of Afrin, since yesterday evening.

The sources noted that the people are working to extinguish the fires by their own efforts, but they can't control it, which are heading towards the village of Khalulko in the town of Bulbila in occupied Afrin.

The current losses amounted to about 25,000 fruit trees of olive, cherry, walnut and pomegranate trees, as well as forest trees such as pine, cypress and others.

The residents said that the mercenaries did not intervene to extinguish the fires, and when they went to ask the so-called "White Helmets" or "Syrian Civil Defense" to intervene to help the people extinguish the fires, they argued that they can't control the fires, with the Turkish occupation not intervening either.

The residents also noted that they heard the sounds of explosions of mines placed in the lands, especially forestry, as a result of exposure to high temperatures.

It is noteworthy that the Turkish occupation army and its mercenaries worked during 6 years, from their occupation of the city of Afrin to the burning of a total of 391,000 trees, according to the latest statistics of the Afrin Organization for Human Rights.
