Sources from inside al-Rikban camp on the Syrian-Jordanian border that a sandstorm hit the camp during the past three days resulted in an injuries.

The sources said at least 20 displaced people had lost their lives and 50 others were suffocated by the sandstorm.

Al-Rikban camp is located on the Jordanian-Syrian border, where Syrian refugees live in the governorates of Homs, Deir-ez-Zor , Bu Kamal, the countrysides of Hama, Idlib, Sweida and palmyra.The camp, which currently has more than 80,000 displaced people, was established in 2014 in a desert area that is an extension of the Syrian Badia and is controlled by the opposition factions with the support of the international coalition.

According to the sources, the sand storm led to the rupture of many tents and the displacement of many families amid drastic shortage of potential of living and medical services, and continution the siege imposed by the regime forces on the camp and negligence of humanitarian organizations.
