Hassan Kalash’s body identified after found burned in Tel Koçer

The family of Hassan Kalash, director of a language institute and a philosophy teacher in the city of Girkê Legê, has identified his body after it was found burned on the Dardara road in the Tel Koçer countryside. Kalash had been abducted from Girkê Legê, and the circumstances surrounding his abduction and killing remain unknown.

Today, the family identified the body of Hassan Kalash, director of a language institute and a philosophy teacher in Girkê Legê. His body was found burned on October 2 on Dardara road, in the Tel Koçer district. He is scheduled to be buried today in his village of Sikirka Joli.

Kalash, who was around 50 years old, was abducted by unidentified individuals from the market in Girkê Legê on the evening of Wednesday, September 30. The identity of those behind his abduction remains unknown.

According to available information, the family went to the site where the body was found and received it from the district director. Family members and the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) conducted an initial examination before doctors arrived to carry out the necessary tests. The family confirmed his identity today.

Following his abduction, reports indicated that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of $300,000 from his family. The family also published a statement on Facebook appealing to the relevant authorities, political parties and tribal elders to intervene, determine his fate and help locate him.

The circumstances surrounding Kalash’s abduction and killing remain unclear, and no confirmed information has been released regarding those responsible or the circumstances that led to his death.
