Israeli incursions, airstrikes and intensive overflights in southern Syria

Quneitra and Suwayda governorates witnessed Israeli military movements accompanied by raids, the firing of illuminating flares and warplane overflights, amid reports that a vehicle was targeted in an airstrike east of Suwayda.

Israeli forces released today a young man whom they had detained yesterday while he was passing through a temporary checkpoint set up at Al-Alam Roundabout in the central Quneitra countryside. The young man is from the village of Rasem Al-Rawadi.

In the northern Quneitra countryside, an Israeli military force advanced into the village of Taranja and raided a house, coinciding with the firing of four illuminating flares into the sky over the area. Israeli forces also fired illuminating flares near the Jabata Al-Khashab nature reserve.

Meanwhile, local sources reported that an unidentified aircraft carried out an airstrike targeting a vehicle near Tal Al-Sahn, east of Suwayda Governorate, in an area controlled by the National Guard forces.

These developments coincided with Israeli warplanes flying over the skies of Daraa and Quneitra governorates.
