Turkish occupation state has been committing massacres in Southern Kurdistan in full view of the world since 1983, and according to official statistics alone, it has killed 247 citizens in just 41 years.

On May 25, 1993, the Turkish army penetrated 5 km deep into Southern Kurdistan and launched its first attack on Southern Kurdistan.

The Turkish occupation state has been committing massacres with its warplanes, drones, tanks and artillery in Southern Kurdistan, Shengal and the Martyr Rustam Judi refugee camp for 41 years.

According to official statistics, the attacks on Southern Kurdistan have resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds of citizens and the injury of hundreds.

Here we present to you these attacks and their victims from 1983 until August 25, 2024:

During the years 1986-1987, the Turkish occupation army attacked Southern Kurdistan, and the bombing also targeted the camps of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, which resulted in the martyrdom of many citizens and Peshmerga.

On January 28, 1994, an airstrike targeted many civilians who were displaced from Northern Kurdistan and took refuge in Zilli, which resulted in the martyrdom of many civilians.

In 1997, the mountains of Mergi Hoshi, Khanir and Lolan were bombed, killing 25 people.

On August 15, 2000, the Turkish state launched an attack on 100 Bedouin tents in the Kandakuli plain between Khanir and Lolan. According to eyewitnesses, the massacre resulted in the killing of 50 people and wounding of 25.

On August 21, 2011, warplanes targeted a car on the road between Kurtak and Ranya near the village of Boli, killing 7 civilians, including 4 children. The same village was bombed again later, killing and wounding many more.

On August 1, 2015, warplanes bombed the village of Zerkeli in Qandil, killing 8 civilians and wounding 27 people, including two women, one of whom was pregnant.

On September 20, 2017, the Niroi and Rikan areas in Bahdinan were bombed, killing 10 civilians.

On January 23, 2019, the bombing of the town of Deir Allouk in Amadiya district killed 4 civilians.

On January 25, 2019, a number of civilians were shot at from a Turkish military headquarters in Shiladzi, killing two people, one of whom was a child, and wounding 6 others.

On May 15, 2019, warplanes targeted Kazem Ali Fakko, 60, on the Margasor border in Erbil, killing him.

On June 25, 2019, a car was bombed in the Koshin area of Soran district in Erbil, killing a citizen and seriously wounding his brother.

On June 28, 2019, warplanes bombed two cars in the Kurtak area of Ranya district in Sulaymaniyah, killing Abdullah Ali Mina (53) and his two sons, Kwestan Abdullah (30) and Haryad Abdullah (19), and injuring 5 other citizens.

On June 18, 2020, an airstrike on Sidkani resulted in the martyrdom of Abbas Mukhdit.

On June 19, 2020, areas of the town of Shiladzi in Amadiya were bombed from the air, killing 5 people.

On June 24, 2020, a drone attack in Sharbajjar in Sulaymaniyah resulted in the martyrdom of 2 citizens and the injury of 8 people.

On July 27, 2020, the bombing of Amadiya resulted in the martyrdom of 3 citizens: Delovn Shahin, Omar Kashani, and Abdullah Ahmed.

On January 26, 2021, the people of Bahdinan gathered in Deir Allouk to protest the massacres committed by the Turkish state against civilians. Turkish soldiers attacked demonstration, killing 3 civilians, including a child, and wounding 6 others.

On May 25, 2021, the bombing of the village of Dashisha resulted in the injury of 20-year-old Bawer Ahmed.

On May 26, 2021, the bombing of the village of Bahra resulted in the martyrdom of 16-year-old Ali Mohsen and his brother Hassan Mohsen, 20, while they were herding goats.

On June 1, 2021, the bombing resulted in the injury of Ramadan Ali, 70 years old.

On July 8, 2021, the village of Haror was subjected to gunfire from military bases, resulting in the injury of a citizen.

On August 13, 2021, the citizen Ibrahim Hassan Muhammad (51 years old) was killed in the village of Dashisha, affiliated with Kani Masi, by Turkish soldiers.

On August 20, 2021, the Turkish army’s bombing of the town of Batfa in Zakho resulted in the martyrdom of the citizen Ahmed Shaker (40 years old) and the citizen Youssef Omar (26 years old).

On September 17, 2021, a member of the Committee to Support the Families of Martyrs in the Kurdistan Workers’ Party was martyred in an attack by the Turkish intelligence services.

On May 17, 2022, Kurdish nationalist Mohammed Zaki Jalabi from Northern Kurdistan was shot by Turkish intelligence in the Bakhtiari neighborhood of Sulaymaniyah, and was martyred on the 18th of the same month.

On May 21, 2022, a car was targeted in the village of Tutqal, affiliated with the town of Akhjlar in the Jamjamal district of Sulaymaniyah, resulting in the martyrdom of 5 people and the injury of one person.

On May 26, 2022, the people of the village of Zioser in the Bamerni district of Bahdinan were targeted by aircraft, resulting in the martyrdom of two children and the injury of one person.

On June 17, 2022, Turkish drones bombed a car in Kalari, resulting in the martyrdom of the deputy co-chair of the Executive Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Farhad Shibli, and 3 of his companions.

On July 20, 2022, the village of Barkh in Zakho was bombed, killing 9 Arab citizens and wounding more than 20 people.

On August 28, 2022, historian, researcher and member of the Freedom Movement’s administrative body, Suhail Khorshid (Mamosta North) was assassinated in front of his home after being subjected to an armed attack.

On August 29, 2022, a Turkish drone bombed the house of Kurdish nationalist Abu Zaid Abdullah Ubaid, killing him

On October 4, 2022, the editor of the Jineoloji magazine, a member of the Jineoloji Research Center, and a women's activist, Naghan Akarsal, was assassinated in an armed attack carried out by Turkish intelligence, where she was shot 11 times.

On December 2, 2022, the people of the village of Jalali, located on the borders of Sharbajjar, were bombed, killing Aziz Muhammad Rasul and wounding Muhammad Qadir Agha, Koykha Muhammad Ali, Zana Muhammad Ali, Saeed Muhammad Rasul, and Salih Qadir.

On January 13, 2023, the bombing targeted two children, and the attack resulted in the injury of 14-year-old Bahjat Odi.

On March 10, 2023, a car was bombed in the village of Saida, affiliated with the town of Qara Hanjir in Kirkuk, resulting in the martyrdom of one person and the injury of two others.

On April 3, 2023, Ahmed Hassan (35 years old) from the village of Sit and Arif Omar (50 years old) from the village of Shada affiliated with Shiladze were bombed by warplanes, resulting in their martyrdom.

On April 17, 2023, the patriot Hussein Turli was martyred in the city of Dohuk as a result of an armed attack.

On April 15, 2023, the bombing of the Penjwin area resulted in the martyrdom of 3 citizens.

On May 2, 2023, Turkish warplanes targeted a car in the village of Jalali, affiliated with the town of Sharbajjar in Sulaymaniyah.

On June 9, 2023, a member of the Mesopotamia Workers Association, Hussein Arasan, was targeted by a member of the Turkish intelligence services in Sulaymaniyah, which resulted in his martyrdom on June 10.

On August 6, 2023, a car was bombed in the town of Jamanki, Dohuk, which resulted in the martyrdom of citizen Alan Ismail and the injury of citizen Hashem Shaker.

On August 9, 2023, a car on the road between Dokan and Khalkan was bombed by a drone, which resulted in the martyrdom of citizen Najwan Sherkawat and the serious injury of other citizens.

On August 11, 2023, a Turkish drone bombed a car on the road to the Penjwin district, which resulted in the martyrdom of the employee of the (Asya Cell) company, Hassan Ahmed Nawzat, from Dohuk, along with his wife Zainab Mustafa and his daughter Riyam, who was studying in Iran.

On August 24, 2023, aircraft bombed a house in Merkemir, Bradost district, killing 4 citizens.

On September 5, 2023, a Turkish drone bombed a car in Banar Qandil.

On September 18, 2023, the Kurdistan National Congress office was attacked, killing the office manager and member of the Kurdistan National Congress, Deniz Cevdet Bolbon.

On September 18, 2023, drones targeted the Arbat Agricultural Airport, killing 3 Kurdish counter-terrorism personnel and wounding 3 other Peshmerga counter-terrorism personnel.

On September 27, 2023, Turkish drones bombed the village of Bukrisan in Banar Qandil, killing a citizen, Asti Muhammad, and wounding another person.

On October 3, 2023, warplanes bombed the surroundings of the villages of Andiz and Bukrisan in Qandil, killing a citizen.

On October 25, 2023, warplanes bombed a car in Bradost.

On October 17, 2023, a drone bombed a car belonging to a resident of the Makhmur refugee camp in the village of Kani Kendi in the Koya district of Hewlêr, killing a young man, Dilovan Ishlik, and wounding three women.

On November 6, 2023, a drone bombed the center of the town of Buskin in Raparin, seriously wounding two people.

On December 5, 2023, a Turkish drone bombed the center of the town of Bamerni, killing a citizen and wounding another.

On January 18, 2024, the activist and leader Feryal Suleiman (Zelal Zagros) was martyred in Kirkuk by members of the Turkish Intelligence Services.

On February 20, 2024, warplanes bombed the village of Kafiya in Agre district, killing one Peshmerga and wounding two others.

On March 2, 2024, warplanes bombed a village in Amadiya district, wounding a farmer.

On April 28, 2024, Sidakan was bombed, killing two tunnel diggers from eastern Kurdistan.

On August 23, 2024, a car carrying a number of journalists was bombed in Sayid Sadiq district in Sulaymaniyah, killing two journalists in the field of free media, Hîro Bahdinan and Gulestan Tara, and wounding six other journalists.

On August 24, 2024, a Turkish drone bombed a car belonging to an Arab family in Dohuk.

Attacks on Martyr Rustam Cudi Refugee Camp (Makhmur)

The warplanes and drones of the occupying Turkish state have continued to bombard Martyr Rustam Cudi Refugee Camp since 2017.

On December 6, 2017, warplanes bombed Makhmur Camp, killing 5 members of the Protection Forces (Bagher Boran, Botan Amed, Jagdar Mawa, Doran Mardin and Baz Djawar).

On December 13, 2018, warplanes bombed Makhmur Camp, killing 73-year-old Asiya Ali Muhammad, her daughter Narin Farhan Qasim, 26, her granddaughter Avin Kawa Mahmoud, 14, and Aylam Muhammad Omar, 23.

On July 18, 2019, Makhmur Camp was bombed, killing two civilians.

On April 15, 2020, a drone carried out an airstrike on Makhmour camp, killing 3 women.

On September 3, 2021, Makhmour camp was bombed, injuring a mother and her son.

On February 1, 2022, an attack by warplanes killed two members of the Self-Defense Forces and injured dozens of people.

On May 21, 2022, drones targeted a car in Makhmour camp, killing shepherd Haqi Mirza Ali.

On July 5, 2022, drones targeted a house in Makhmour, injuring a woman and poisoning 5 women.

On October 7, an armed drone bombed the mosque of the Martyr Rustam Judi refugee camp in the evening, injuring a woman and two children.

On October 13, 2023, a Turkish drone bombed a house in Makhmur camp, wounding a civilian.

Attacks on Shengal

The Turkish occupation state's aircraft have been targeting the Yazidi people liberated from ISIS in Shengal since 2018.

On August 15, 2018, warplanes bombed the Kojo district, killing members of the Yazidi Community Coordination Committee; Zaki Shenkali and Maher Sarhat Shenkali.

On November 4, 2019, warplanes bombed the town of Khanasour, wounding 3 fighters from the Shengal Resistance Units and Shingal Women's Units.

On November 19, 2019, warplanes bombed Khanasour, killing one fighter and wounding 4 fighters from the Shengal Resistance Units.

On January 15, 2020, drones launched an attack on Shengal, resulting in the martyrdom of the leader of the Shengal Resistance Units, Zardasht Shenkali, and the fighters of the forces, Pir Hamad, Ezdin Shenkali and Jilo Shenkali.

On August 26, 2020, Turkish drones targeted a civilian car in Khanasour, killing two civilians.

On August 17, 2021, warplanes launched an airstrike on Sakina Hospital, killing 8 people and wounding 4 others.

On June 15, 2022, drones bombed the People's Council in Sinun, targeting a number of civilians and killing 7 citizens, including 11-year-old Saleh Naso and a journalist.

On August 16, 2021, drones bombed a command post of the Shengal Resistance Units, killing the leader of the units, Sayed Hassan, and the nephew of the fighter in the units, Issa Khodida, and wounding 3 civilians, Qasim Samu, Shamir Abbas Barjas and Mirza Ali.

On November 8, 2021, drones bombed the village of Bari, killing one citizen.

On November 21, 2022, drones targeted two vehicles belonging to the Shengal Protection Forces in the Shalo Valley,  killing Azad Ezzeddin, the leader in the Shengal Resistance Units, and Anwar Tolhildan, the fighter in the units.

On July 17, 2022, a drone targeted a car in the village of Dijlah in the Tal Afar district of Mosul, killing five people.

On February 27, 2023, a drone targeted a vehicle belonging to the Shengal Resistance Units in the village of Bahrava in the town of Khanasour, killing Pir Jako and Aker Jafri, the leader in the Shengal Resistance Units, and wounding a fighter from the units.

On March 1, 2023, a drone bombed the center of Shengal, killing a fighter from the Shengal Resistance Units.

On May 16, 2023, a drone bombed a house in Khanasour in Shengal.

On May 23, 2023, a Turkish drone bombed a house in the village of Khalaf in the Bari, killing a fighter from the Shengal Protection Units and wounding another.

On June 1, 2023, the Turkish occupation state targeted a house in the center of Shengal, causing material damage.

On September 17, 2023, a Turkish drone targeted a vehicle from the Shengal Resistance Units, killing 3 fighters.

On November 13, 2023, a drone targeted a car in the town of Sinun, killing two fighters.

On December 28, 2023, drones bombed water well workers in the villages of Kora Samuqia 3 times, killing 5 workers from Rojava Kurdistan.

On April 2, 2024, drones bombed a civilian car near Sardasht camp in Shengal Mountain, injuring two women.

On February 29, 2024, a drone bombed a car belonging to the Martyrs' Families Foundation between the villages of Wardiya and Zarafin in the town of Tal Azr, killing Saadoun Mirza Ali, the member of the Martyrs' Families Foundation in Shengal.

On July 8, 2024, a vehicle belonging to the Çira TV and Radio was bombed, resulting in the martyrdom of the radio correspondent, Murad Mirza Ibrahim, and the injury of the TV correspondent, Madya Hassan Kamal, and the freelance media worker, Khalaf Khader.
