The Hewlêr court, affiliated with the KDP's authorities, held a special session today to try teacher Luqman Najm Bajid, on false charges and allegations.

The court sentenced teacher Luqman Najm to one year and six months in prison on the pretext of giving 3 boxes of biscuits to the guerrilla.

Teacher Luqman Najm Bajid had previously been arrested twice in a row by the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces, due to his participation in protests demanding teachers' rights.

It is worth noting that this is not the first woman in whom the Kurdistan Democratic Party courts have issued judicial rulings against freedom fighters, teachers, journalists and activists. Where false accusations are stuck to anyone who criticizes the KDP officials, accusing them of being members of the PKK or working for a foreign party.
