Roj News publishes video of Zap Bombed with thermobaric bombs

Roj News Agency obtained a video showing the moment when Turkish occupation aircraft carried out an airstrike on Bahar Hill in Zap, S. Kurdistan.

According to the agency’s sources, the aircraft used prohibited thermobaric bombs on Bahar Hill in Zap. The video published with the report shows thick white smoke rising widely after the explosion. These attacks are reportedly being supported by the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) and the Iraqi government.

Thermobaric bombs are banned under international agreements and the Geneva Convention, similar to phosphorus bombs, napalm bombs, fragmentation bombs, and cluster bombs.

The People's Defense Forces (HPG) and Free Women's Units – Star (YJA Star) previously documented the use of internationally banned thermobaric bombs by the Turkish occupation army through photos on May 27 of this year.

Despite the People's Defense Forces publishing videos and photos proving Turkey's use of phosphorus bombs, thermobaric bombs, tactical nuclear bombs, and chemical weapons, and despite calls from the Kurdistan Communities Union (KCK), the People's Defense Forces, and all Kurdish parties to visit the targeted areas and hold Turkey accountable, the relevant authorities have remained silent regarding the occupation’s actions, which constitute violations of international law and warrant an international investigation.
