ISIS cell dismantled in countryside of Jazera Canton
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced the dismantling of an ISIS cell and the arrest of two mercenaries during a security operation in Jazira Canton of North and East Syria.
The SDF's media center released information stating that their military operations teams (TOL) carried out a security operation in the village of Safiyan, affiliated with the town of Al-Shaddadi, southern eastern countryside of Hasaka.
The operation targeted "the dismantling of a mercenary cell involved in several terrorist acts in the region."
The SDF operation, conducted early this morning, resulted in the capture of the mercenary "Issa Mohammed Hashas," also known as "Abu Hamza," and another mercenary named "Abdullah Mohammed Hashas," known as "Abu Omar."
The forces also seized a quantity of weapons and ammunition in the possession of the two militants.
