Ongoing hunger strike in Turkish jails
Male and female activists in Turkish prisons cling to their resistance for the 168th day to achieve the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Freedom fighters in Turkish prisons continue their resistance in the new phase, by boycotting lawyers for the 168th day in a row, under the slogan “Living the same conditions with our leader,” which began in the context of the activities of the global “Freedom for Abdullah Ocalan, the political solution to the Kurdish issue” campaign.
The activists of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and the activists of the Kurdistan Women's Freedom Party (PAJK), detained in prisons in Turkey and northern Kurdistan, began a hunger strike on November 27, 2023.
On April 4, it entered a new phase, which consisted of boycotting the courts, family visits, and speaking on the phone, denouncing the strict isolation imposed by the Turkish authorities against leader Abdullah Ocalan, and demanding his physical freedom.
