Continuing protests in Qamishlo denouncing increase in price of diesel

Today, the city of Qamishlo witnessed a protest in which dozens of residents and shop owners participated, demanding urgent solutions to the living crisis taking place in the region, during which they raised banners demanding a solution to the electricity and fuel crisis, reducing their prices, improving economic conditions, and denouncing the interruption of service support for diesel and its high prices.

The protesters chanted slogans demanding social justice and improving the standard of living, before the protest turned into a demonstration that toured the central market.

The participants stressed that lifting subsidies on diesel fuel, raising fuel prices, and the high prices of goods had a direct impact on their daily lives and businesses, noting that the continuation of the crisis increases the burden of living and threatens the livelihood of shop owners and the people of the region.

This demonstration comes as an extension of the protests taking place in the cities of al-Jazira and the rest of the Syrian regions, as residents demand radical solutions to the fuel and energy crises, controlling price chaos, and improving the living capacity of citizens in the region.
