MIT- KDP are responsible for market fires in S. Kurdistan
The Lekolin.org website revealed the names of the people involved in setting fires in the markets of Kirkuk, Dohuk, and Hewler, and indicated that they were carried out in cooperation between the KDP's Parastin and Turkish Intelligence Service (MIT).
Today, the Lekolin.org website published a special piece of news titled “The people who set the fires on orders from Parastin and the MIT.”
According to the website" The MIT and the Parastin claim that the reason for the attacks on Southern Kurdistan is the spread of the Workers’ Party in region. So they are trying to incite the people and the Baghdad government against the Workers’ Party.
" It was reported that on April 20, 2024, officials from the MIT in Southern Kurdistan held a secret meeting with the Parastin Service in the Salah al-Din district of Hewler. At the meeting, it was decided to burn a market and the historic market in Hewler. After this meeting on April 23, 2024, they were burned" the website added.
On the same day (April 23), the Sheikh and Nishtiman markets in Southern Kurdistan were burned. According to the news, 430 fires broke out within the borders of Hewler during one month, most of them in markets and commercial places.
The news added that over meetings between intelligence, 11 fire incidents occurred in Dohuk and Hewler on February 17 and March 7, 2024, but KDP authorities claimed that the fire was caused by an electrical short.
After the fires, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of the Ministry of Interior's Office in Southern Kurdistan claimed that the fires were set by supporters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, and some people were arrested.
The website confirmed that the arrested individuals had no connection to the fires, and that the list of names was compiled by the MIT and the Parastin.
According to the news, the people responsible for the fires are:
Shaho Taha Hamo Taher: He comes from the Kalara district of Sulaymaniyah Governorate.
Erish Haid Ali: From Hewler Governorate, he is an official in the Parastin.
Marwan Qadir Wali: from the village of Biran in Hewler.
Jazi Sardasht Ubaida Ahmed: from Dohuk
Zanar Samid Habib: He comes from the village of Baghlan in Iran
Muhammad Ali: From Hawler, he is in charge of the arson group.
According to the news, Zanar Habib and Shaho Taher, along with their group, work for Erish Haid Ali, and they are responsible for the fires in Sulaymaniyah and Kirkuk, and Muhammad Ali is responsible for the fires in Hewler and its environs, while Jazi Sardasht Ubaida Ahmed and Marwan Qadir Wali are the ones who set the fires in Dohuk.
