While casting his ballot in the People's Assembly elections today, Bashar al-Assad reiterated the conditions for his meeting with the President of the Turkish occupation state, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, stating that it must be constructive and aim to resolve the outstanding issues between the two countries.

He explained that any meeting must seek to achieve tangible results, and pointed to the necessity of ending Turkey’s support for “terrorism” and its withdrawal from Syrian territory as a basic condition for returning relations to their normal path.

Al-Assad stressed that the meeting with Erdogan must achieve tangible results that are in the interest of both countries, noting that the problem does not lie in the meeting itself, but in the content and goals of this meeting.
