According to Roj News Agency, local sources in S. Kurdistan reported that early this morning, Turkish occupation army helicopters carried out intense bombardment on the Deraluk areas of Dohuk province in S. Kurdistan.

The sources stated that the bombing caused extensive destruction in the targeted areas, leading to the displacement of the region's residents from their homes and properties to other places.

Various areas in S. Kurdistan, specifically areas in Dohuk, have been experiencing a wide-scale Turkish offensive, both aerial and ground, since the beginning of this July. This offensive has resulted in the occupation of dozens of villages and towns, displacing their inhabitants, and increasing the presence of Turkish forces and military equipment in S. Kurdistan, with the cooperation and participation of the Kurdistan Democratic Party forces.

The offensive has been met with strong resistance from the People's Defense Forces against the Turkish occupation army's attacks, amid a lack of any military response from Iraqi forces.

The ongoing offensive has not been met with any official Iraqi stance, with opposition to the Turkish incursion and occupation of Iraqi lands being limited to active Kurdish and Iraqi political and social organizations in S. Kurdistan and Iraq.
