Lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office have submitted a new request to the Turkish authorities to meet with their clients in Imrali Prison.

They have filed a request with the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to arrange a meeting with their client Leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Lawyer Susan Akiba, Ibrahim Bilmez, Cengiz Yurkli and Imran Emekji have submitted a request to meet with their client.

The office's lawyers also submitted a request to meet with Omar Khayri Kunar, Hamili Yildirim and Weysi Aktaş, who are under strict isolation in Imrali Prison.

On July 4, the Turkish authorities renewed the ban for another three months on visits to Leader Abdullah Ocalan and the three other detainees in Imrali by their families and lawyers. No information has been received from Leader Ocalan since March 2021.
