As part of the series of activities of the “Physical Freedom of Abdullah Ocalan, Political Solution to the Kurdish Issue” campaign, the activities of the first day of the sit-in organized by Kongra Star began today in the Tallet Shams Aleppo cafeteria in the Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo. In order to demand the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, and it will continue for 3 continuous days.

According to the Preparatory Committee for the event, the organizational framework for the event will be in the form of dialogues that begin between the participating groups to discuss ideas, topics and concepts related to the leader’s thought within the democratic nation project.

After observing a minute of silence in honor of the souls of the martyrs, members of the Kongra Star Coordination, Fahima Hamo and Nerkez Bakr, welcomed the attendees.

Event objectives

The two speeches included remembering the martyrs of May who made great sacrifices in order to achieve a free democratic society.

They stressed that the aim of launching the event is to shed light on the recent situation that Imrali is going through, especially the stifling, immoral and anti-law-related deprivation of leader Abdullah Ocalan.

In addition to indicating the details of the democratic nation project, which is considered the most appropriate for developing societies and raising their level to confront the wars that are being waged against the region, especially the private war.

The truth about the leader and leadership

The first section was then read by a member of the Martyr Hazel Academy, Shilan Khalil, which included a glimpse into the life of the leader in Imrali, in addition to the concept of the reality of leadership.

The groups participating on the first day are members of the Martyr Hazel Academy, the Academy of Democratic Society, the Lawyers Union, the Center for Studies and Research in Jineoloji, Kongra Star, the Women’s House, and others.

To open the door to discussion for the participants in the first session, Nisreen Sheikho, correspondent of Hawar news agency ANHA, said that the thought of leader Abdullah Ocalan has a major role in working to change the stereotypical image of the capitalist media, which uses women as a tool for propaganda and is a facade emptied of the truth to conduct the policies of countries that monopolize that.

As for the lawyer and human rights activist, Alaeddin al-Khaled, he highlighted, through his speech, the illegal sanctions imposed by the Turkish occupation and its fascist regimes on the leader Abdullah Ocalan, in addition to the necessity of escalating the struggle to achieve the physical freedom of the leader Abdullah Ocalan.

Women and society

Then the second topic was read by the administration of the council of the martyr Rokn Zordasht, Rojda Manan, about the ideas and philosophy of the leader regarding women and family issues and their organization, to liberate society and move it towards the better.

To once again open the door to discussion before the participants, and in this regard, the member of the Women’s House, Moulida Sido, pointed out the necessity of implementing laws related to women within the Democratic Nation Project to protect them from many of the phenomena that they suffer from, such as the marriage of minors and polygamy.

As for the member of the Center for Jineoloji Studies and Research, Farida Musa, she pointed out that the science of women presented by Leader Abdullah Ocalan through his philosophy, based on the historical legacy of women and benefiting from the stages of brokenness that women suffered, created a revolution for them that had no limits to prove themselves in all fields.

The first day's event ended with a cinematic presentation that included a brief explanation of the science of women (Jineoloji) and the foundations on which it is built.

The second day's activities are scheduled to continue by discussing issues of self-protection and the leader's directives regarding the democratic nation.
