PYD prepares for its 10th general Conference

The PYD party has been holding conferences at the level of its councils in cities and cantons for nearly a month in the North and East of Syria, through which the party's organizational status is discussed and its work is evaluated, and the representatives of those councils are selected for the General Party Congress.

This step is in preparation for the holding by the PYD party of its General Conference, which is scheduled to take place in October this year, as indicated by members of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference.

The 9th Congress of the Democratic Union Party was held on June 18, 2022 and lasted three days, under the slogan "In the spirit of the Revolutionary People's War, we will defeat the occupation and build a democratic Syria," It concluded with a number of recommendations, the most important of which were "the struggle for the physical freedom of leader APO and the work for Kurdish national unity."

It also ended with the election of new joint co-chairs, namely, "Saleh Muslim and Asia Abdullah," and the election of members of the presidential body and members of the party's general council.

The areas of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria are also witnessing similar conferences for the Women Council of the Democratic Union Party to develop a future plan of action and to select representatives of cities and districts women councils for the General Women Council Conference, which is also being prepared.
