Date set for parliamentary elections in Southern Kurdistan
The outgoing President of Southern Kurdistan, Nêçîrvan Barzanî, has scheduled the elections for October 20th.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency of Southern Kurdistan, Dilshad Shehab, announced that the outgoing President, Nêçîrvan Barzanî, has set October 20th as the new date for holding parliamentary elections.
Previously, the Independent High Electoral Commission in Iraq had requested that the Presidency of Southern Kurdistan approve the parliamentary elections to be held on September 5th.
