KCK's Foreign Relations Committee issued a statement on the Turkish occupation’s movements in Southern Kurdistan, which stated: "The Turkish state is mobilizing its military forces in Southern Kurdistan in order to launch new attacks.

On June 22, a large convoy of trucks and armored vehicles entered Amadiyeh from Dohuk, and on the night of June 23, a military convoy of armored vehicles and members of the Turkish army entered Amadiyeh coming from Dohuk while on the night of June 24, a large convoy of armored vehicles and heavy weapons entered Amadiyeh for the first time.

The Turkish occupation of this region is taking place with approval of the Kurdistan Democratic Party administration and the Baghdad government.

Baghdad government which always talks about its sovereignty and the territorial integrity of Iraq is paving the way to legitimize the Turkish occupation, through  the “Border Security Agreement” with Turkey, that is why the Turkish army penetrated a distance of 30-40 kilometers into the territory of Iraq, in addition to building hundreds of military bases and points on these lands.

The Kurdistan Democratic Party is still working for the Turkish army in protecting Turkish military bases in Southern Kurdistan, and now, it is securing the movement of the Turkish army between the regions, it directly participates supporting  the Turkish soldiers. So the administration of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Barzani family bear responsibility for the shedding of the blood of the youth, male and female freedom fighters of Kurdistan, who are fighting against the Turkish fascist state.

The Turkish soldiers declare these areas as prohibited ones, and force villagers to obtain permission from them to go to their orchards and fields. In this way, the Turkish state practices a policy of displacing villages in an organized manner while the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Democratic Party do not take any stance about this policy.

The Iraqis, and people of Southern Kurdistan must take a stance against the Turkish occupation. They must reject their governments’ policies that legitimize the Turkish occupation, and take an effective stance against the occupation. They should organize rallies, gatherings and events to withdraw the Turkish soldiers and end the occupation.

Furthermore, all the peoples of Iraq, especially the Kurds must resist the  Turkish occupation in accordance to the standards of humanity and freedom.”
