Kosovo's justice minister said at the airport that the planned process for the return of some Kosovars from Syria had ended successfully, adding that all the details would be clarified at a news conference during the day.

Members of the anti-terrorist police guarded the cargo terminal at Pristina airport and a US-flagged aircraft was seen on its tail at the airport.

More than 300 Kosovo citizens, men, women and children, traveled to Syria after 2012 to join a fight with the terrorist. Some 70 men who fought alongside mercenary groups were killed.

Some 150 women and children, including about 60 children born in combat zones, were arrested after a humiliating defeat, police said.
