Citing of Iran's Fars news agency as saying that the earthquake hit Iran's Bushehr governorate at a magnitude of 5.9 on the Richter scale, causing no casualties in the governorate, which includes a nuclear reactor.

Residents of the Kuwaiti capital and surrounding areas felt the quake, according to the agency.

Iran is an earthquake-prone country due to the use of nuclear tests and reactors. An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Rawuri town in Iran's central Kerman governorate On the 14th of January.
