YRK: Fires engulf Kalala village over Turkish bombing

The YRK's Media Center announced in a statement that the Turkish occupation state bombed the vicinity of Kalala village in Mawt district three times with warplanes, and announced the outbreak of fires in the area.

The YRK statement read: "On Friday, July 26, 2024, the Turkish occupation state bombed the areas of Dokani, Kani Jumahsab and Khazina in the village of Jalala in the Mawut district with warplanes three times at 23:00 after an intensive air reconnaissance. As a result of the bombing, great damage was caused to the groves, orchards and fields of the people of the region, the fires broke out in the fields, orchards and surrounding areas and the fires are still burning.

There is no doubt that the goal of the Turkish occupation state is to target all living beings and the nature and environment of our homeland. Everyone must know the truth that the hostility of the Turkish state against humans, nature, and the environment.  It targets all of our country, from the olive trees of Afrin to Bahdinan, from the markets of Erbil and Kirkuk to the mountains, orchards and fields of Asos. We pledge to ourselves that we will resist and fight for nature and all living creatures in our country until we reach freedom and expel the fascist power of the Turkish state from our homeland.”
