Turkish forces heavily bombarded the Bradost area in Hawler province, S. Kurdistan, leading to massive fires in surrounding villages and fields.

According to local sources reported by Roj News, the bombardment destroyed homes, caused significant property damage, ignited fires in fields, and displaced residents from the area.

Additionally, a video released by the same agency showed the Turkish occupation army setting up military positions and checkpoints in areas it has occupied, such as Berorai Bala in Duhok province. These positions, equipped with armored vehicles and tanks, prevent citizens from moving freely in their own regions.

The agency reported that Turkish soldiers are now demanding that citizens present passports, rather than Iraqi ID cards, when entering recently occupied areas, claiming that these areas now belong to Turkey.

Since mid-June of this year, the Turkish occupation army has been conducting extensive land and air attacks on the Medya defense areas and other areas in S. Kurdistan, with assistance and facilitation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party, particularly in Duhok province.

According to a report by the American organization "Peace Makers," dated July 17, 184 families have been displaced, and 68,000 dunams of agricultural land and forests have been burned in S. Kurdistan due to these attacks.
