Ahras district suffers from problems in the sewerage, which caused the spread of stink smells that cause diseases and epidemics, especially with summer season is approaching, and to prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics began municipality of the most promising project to maintain the sewage network in the center of the district.

The Co-chair of the people's municipality in Afrin city who is currently the Co–chair of the municipality of Ahras district in al Shahba canton Mustafa Rashid, said that workers are working outside the official time to end the problem facing the region.

The four-worker workshop is working 12 hours a day to solve the water crisis in the area and to reduce the high costs paid by the municipality to provide water to the people through the tankers.

They are also working on extending a water network for 700 families in in the center of Ahras and Tel –Qarah village.

In the same context, 3 days ago, the Local Administration Body in coordination with the Water Committee in al-Shahba district, fed water and activated a well by extending the networks and delivering them to the homes of the residents of Tel- Qarah village and the center of Ahras district which cost 20 million S.P.

For his part, said member of the Water Committee in Ahras district Omar Mohammed, "We started work on the extension of water networks after the water problem worsened despite the high costs of water insurance, so we are processing a well, to distribute water to the people free of charge, and fresh water is safe to drink and empty of lime."
