AL-HASKAH
IS mercenaries deliberately wrote slogans on the walls of cities and towns that they occupied in an attempt to influence on the minds of young men and children, and to practice Special War against them, and they even called the schools by the name of their mercenary boss Abu Baker al-Baghdadi.

Among the towns in which have been ravaged and harassed by IS mercenaries is Merkeda town in al-Shaddadi district in al-Hasakah canton. The youths of the town have removed the slogans of IS mercenaries from the walls.

The young men said that the work was aimed at getting rid of the tiniest remnants of IS mercenaries in the town to completely get rid of the landmarks that they tried to push into their minds.

The young men used sprays to cover the writings and slogans without resorting to sharp tools to avoid damaging the landscape of the walls.

It is noteworthy that Merkeda suffered from injustice and displacement by the terrorist IS, and was encouraged and liberated by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in al-Jazeera Tempest campaign.
