Series of crimes committed by Turkish occupation, its mercenaries in occupied Afrin
The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries continue to commit crimes in occupied Afrin, including kidnappings, killings, cutting and burning trees, theft, and the trafficking of citizens' property, without any deterrent. These actions are a violation of all humanitarian and international standards and values.
A local source from occupied Afrin reported that Turkish occupation mercenaries, the "Military Police," kidnapped Ahmed Yousef, born in 1984, from the Al-Amirat tribe in Afrin city, two weeks after his return from Lebanon, taking him to an unknown destination.
Additionally, on September 6, mercenaries from the "Civil Police" kidnapped 19-year-old Mohammed Rashid Rasho, from Tal Salour village in the city of Jindires, and took him to a security headquarters in the city without his family's knowledge of the charges against him.
In another incident, mercenaries from the "Al-Hamza Division" cut down seven almond trees belonging to Hassan Jamo from Kimar village in Sherawa, to sell their wood.
In the same context, a settler from the Turkish occupation mercenaries, Ahmed Al-Damlakhi, sold a house belonging to Fawzi Ali from Qada village in Rajo city, located on Al-Ghasala Street in the Zaydiya neighborhood of Afrin city. The house had been seized since 2018 and was sold to one of his relatives for $1,200 after dividing it into two parts.
A local source from the area also reported that a former ISIS mercenary, living in a seized house owned by Mohammed Khalil Hussein in Kojman village, Jindires city, fired a gun at Sharvan Mustafa, the son of Adnan, in his thirties, last week in a deliberate attempt to kill him. This was allegedly because Sharvan climbed onto the roof of his house without saying "Ya Allah." According to the details, the source mentioned that Sharvan was at a funeral tent with villagers, and when a relative asked him to check the water level in the tank on the roof, he climbed up and repeated "Ya Allah" four times. However, the ISIS member immediately fired at him, but Sharvan's alertness saved him from injury.
In another incident, a group of settlers stole the fruit from about 20 olive trees from a field belonging to Sharvan's father, despite the olives not being ripe yet.
The areas of Syria occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries are witnessing a lack of security, with crimes being committed against those who remain, including killings, looting, abductions for ransom, and infighting between mercenaries over the property of the displaced.
