The city of Kobani entered its second day of mourning in honor of the martyrs who were martyred in the prison fire, as preparations are underway for their funeral.

KOBANI 

Various parts of Kobani are observing a second consecutive day of mourning, with markets and public places closed and various activities and businesses suspended across the city in tribute to the martyrs of the prison incident.

A funeral ceremony for those who were martyred in Kobani Prison is scheduled to take place today at 5 p.m. The martyrs are: Mohammed Najib Hamo, Azad Jalal Osi, Walat Mahmoud Horan, Orhan Shukri Oso, Aras Alaa al-Din Misho, Baha al-Din Mohammed Bozo, Omar al-Hamid Ahmed, Saleh Mohammed Ali, Barikhdan Mohammed Sheikh, Hussein Sheikh Mohammed Nabo, Youssef Mustafa Barkal, Zakaria Ismail Sheikh, Ammar Mahmoud Baqi, Fadel Haji Haidar, Sardar Mohammed Ismail, Ahmed Mohammed Rashad, and Zakaria Ismail Hamo.

The ceremony is scheduled to be attended by Ilham Ahmed, Co-Chair of the Autonomous Administration’s Department of Foreign Relations, and Mazloum Abdi, adviser to the presidency. Preparations for the ceremony are currently underway.

The two officials called on residents to gather at the Cemetery of Dijla Martyr at 5 p.m. to participate in the funeral ceremony.
