Our correspondent in the city of Tal Tamr reported today that 33-year-old Imad Abdulrahman Sino sustained injuries of varying severity after a remnant of war exploded while he was herding sheep along the banks of the Khabur River in the village of Tal Masas, south of Tal Tamr.

He added that following the explosion, Sino was taken to the Khabur Hospital in Tal Tamr to receive the necessary first aid and medical treatment. A medical examination showed that he had sustained injuries to several areas of his head and body, in addition to injuries to both hands and his left foot.

According to the hospital’s medical staff, the injuries resulted in the amputation of several fingers on his right hand, and he is currently receiving medical care.

The incident comes amid the continued risks posed by landmines, explosive remnants, and remnants of war in agricultural and grazing areas, which threaten the lives of civilians, particularly farmers and shepherds who regularly visit these areas.
