Security chaos in Daraa during past 24 hours

3 people were killed and injured, while 9 others were kidnapped and arrested during the past 24 hours in Daraa, amid the continuing state of security chaos in light of the multiplicity of military formations and the failure of the Damascus government to control the deteriorating security situation there.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that 3 people were killed and injured, 6 were arrested, and 3 were kidnapped by unknown gunmen during the past 24 hours.

In details of this outcome, the Observatory stated that members of the pro-Russian “Eighth Brigade” arrested 6 people from the “Al-Ruwaidan” clan in a raid on Bedouin tents.

A young man was also kidnapped in the city of Al-Harak in the eastern countryside of Daraa, in addition to the kidnapping of an officer and a member of the ranks of the “Ninth Division” of the Damascus government forces in the Al-Lajat area (75 kilometers north of Daraa), a citizen working for Military Intelligence was killed by unknown assailants in the city of Al-Sanamayn, north of Daraa, while a woman was killed and a young man was injured after being targeted with direct bullets by unidentified gunmen in the eastern countryside of Daraa.

This has led to an increasing rate of crimes, targeting, assassinations, and kidnappings by unknown persons in light of absence law and accountability.
