Lawyers from the Al-Asr Human Rights Office submitted a new request to Turkish authorities to meet with their clients in Imrali Prison.

Al-Asr Law Office lawyers Rezan Sarija, Razia Ozturk, Faik Ozgur Erol, and Mazloum Deng submitted a new request to the Bursa Public Prosecutor’s Office and the Imrali Prison Directorate to meet with Leader Abdullah Ocalan and other detainees Omer Khairy Kunar, Hamili Yildirim, and Veysi Aktaş.

In order to meet with them, Al-Asr Law Office’s lawyers submit two requests every week to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate. Their families also submit two requests every week, but they are rejected.

It is noteworthy that the last meeting that took place with the leader by his lawyers Rezan Sarıga and Newroz Uysal was on August 7, 2019, while his last contact was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which lasted for 5 minutes.
