Turkey closes another border crossing with occupied Syrian areas indefinitely

The Bab al-Hawa border crossing between Syria and Turkey has been completely closed until further notice. This follows the Turkish occupation state's earlier closures of the Bab al-Salama, al-Rai, and Jarablus crossings, amid ongoing protests in Turkish-occupied areas of Syria.

Movement through the Bab al-Hawa border crossing, controlled by Turkish-backed militants (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham) on the Syrian side, has ceased, according to local sources citing the so-called "crossing administration." The closure began today, with no date set for reopening.

Yesterday, Turkish authorities also closed the Bab al-Salama, al-Rai, and Jarablus crossings, coinciding with the escalating protests in the Syrian regions occupied by Turkey and its mercenaries.

Protests spread to most occupied Syrian cities in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib yesterday. In Atarib and Ibzmo in western rural Aleppo, demonstrators lowered the Turkish flag and gathered to demand the withdrawal of the Turkish occupation army from their country. Syrian youth blocked roads and crossings to Turkish commercial trucks, and others gathered in front of the so-called "Turkish governor's office" in the occupied city of Afrin, raising anti-Turkish slogans, including "The Turks are traitors, you will sell us to Bashar al-Assad, we fear only God," in reference to Erdogan's comments about possibly restoring relations with the Damascus government.

The number of people killed by gunfire from the Turkish occupation army in occupied areas of Syria has risen to 5, with 15 others injured, as a result of these protests.
