SDF dismantles ISIS mercenary cell and seizes its weapons and equipment

The media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces published on its official accounts the news of the arrest of ISIS mercenaries in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The media center indicated that a tight security operation was carried out by anti-terrorism units yesterday, Monday, with the support and participation of international coalition forces in the town of Al-Sour in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

According to the center, the operation aimed to dismantle an ISIS cell consisting of three members, including a leader. The participating forces were able to determine where its members were hiding, imposed a security cordon, and arrested them.

The media center confirmed that the cell was active in carrying out terrorist attacks targeting military and civilian institutions and trying to destabilize security and stability in the region.

The participating forces seized a quantity of weapons, ammunition, and military and technical equipment, which, according to the report:
