HRW: Turkish bombing on NE Syria is war crime
Human Rights Watch described the Turkish occupation's attacks on infrastructure in NE Syria as a war crime.
The report stated that in late October 2023, the Turkish bombing of NE Syria resulted in water and electricity cuts to millions of people, and in December and January, it intensified its strikes to include medical facilities and vital roads used by relief workers.
The organization described attacks that cause disproportionate harm to civilians and civilian objects prohibited under international humanitarian law, and the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, as a war crime.
