During 72 hours...Details of Damascus Forces attack on Deir ez-Zor countryside

12 towns and villages in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor were attacked and shelled by the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" since the night of (Tuesday-Wednesday). What did those areas witness during the past 72 hours?

 The Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" launched an attack with artillery and heavy weapons on the towns of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor at midnight (Tuesday-Wednesday) from their points in the countrysides of Al-Mayadeen, Al-Bukamal and the Al-Ashara area.

The shelling targeted the surroundings of the town of Dhiban and other towns "Al-Shahil, Al-Tayana, Daranj, Abu Hardoub, Abu Hamam, Al-Lattwa, and Gharanij in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

 In conjunction with the shelling, groups of Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" sneaked, under the instructions of the head of the so-called "General Intelligence Service", called "Hussam Louka", from points affiliated with them in the towns of (Baqrs Fawqani, Baqrs Tahtani, Al-Qouriya, and Sabikhan) by boats to the areas of the Autonomous Administration in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, according to what was reported by local sources from the areas of the Damascus government.

The indiscriminate shelling by the Damascus government forces on populated areas in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, resulted in the martyrdom of two civilians and the injury of 7 others, including two children, according to the media center of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

In contrast, the forces of the Deir ez-Zor Military Council confronted the infiltration operation, and the cells affiliated with the Damascus government forces that moved simultaneously with the attack, which led to clashes between the two parties, concentrated in the towns of Abriha and the surroundings of the city of Al-Busayrah, Dhiban, Al-Shuhail, Al-Tayyana, Darnaj, Abu Hardoub, Abu Hamam, Al-Lattah, and Gharanij.

 After clashes that lasted for about 4 hours, the Syrian Democratic Forces managed to eliminate the infiltrators from the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense", which resulted in the killing of 8 attackers, the bodies of three of whom at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and the injury of 16 others, while some of them fled towards Damascus government- held areas .

 In the afternoon hours of the same day, the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" targeted the Al-Omar water station, which is located to the east of the Al-Lattah neighborhood in the town of Dhiban, as well as the Abu Hamam water station, which supplies 4,000 families, with shells, which led to their burning and going out of service.

After a partial calm in the region, the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces began combing the areas for searching  the attackers, the so-called "National Defense" forces renewed their shelling during the middle of the night (Thursday-Friday).

 The towns of "Abriha and Al-Sabha" and the village of Al-Dahla were targeted, resulting in material damage.

 The Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the new sources of fire launched by the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense".

 On Friday morning, the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" renewed their shelling on the village of Al-Bu Lail on the western side of the Euphrates River, using artillery and rocket shells, specifically on the "town of Jdeidet Al-Bakara and the village of Al-Dahla".

 The bombing led to two massacres in Al-Dahla and Jdeidet Al-Bakara, which resulted in the martyrdom of 11 civilians and the injury of 5 others.

While the mourners were trying to bury the bodies of the martyrs, the Damascus government forces bombed the cemetery of Al-Dahla village, which forced them to urgently bury the martyrs while waiting for the situation to calm down.

The total curfew imposed by the Internal Security Forces on Deir ezz Canton, in addition to the combing.

As a result of the attacks and bombing by the Damascus government forces and the so-called "National Defense" during the past 72 hours, ANHA agency documented the martyrdom of 13 civilians, including children, the injury of 12 others in addition to the destruction of two water stations.

 According to hospital records, according to the chronological order of their martyrdom, the martyrs are: "Emad Jalal Al-Hattab, Haitham Yousef Eid, Rahaf Ismail Al-Aboud 12 years old, Nadia Khader Al-Mohammad 18 years old, Hind Farhan Al-Aboud 30 years old, Aya Ismail Al-Aboud 8 years old, Nadine Thalej Al-Ubaid 22 years old, Yassin Al-Zaar 37 years old, Maria Yassin Al-Zaar 12 years old, Salwa Yasser Al-Zaar 5 years old, Raghad Muhammad Al-Zgheir 22 years old, Sham Bashar Al-Zgheir 4 months old, Ilaf Bashar Al-Zgheir." The injured also according to the order of their injuries, ANHA agency documented the names of 7 of them, they are: "Ammar Al-Yasser 17 years old, the child Ahmed Al-Khalil Al-Mohammad 9 years old, Ali Hassan Al-Dhamen 12 years old, Malak Aboud Al-Hussein 25 years old, Suriya Al-Aboud 50 years old, Fahd Ismail Al-Aboud 15 years old, Malak Ismail Al-Aboud 6 years old." On the social level, the attack and bombing received popular, tribal, and political reactions, denouncing and rejecting these actions, most notably the reactions from the Arab tribes in the Deir ez-Zor countryside.
