Dead, wounded over Israeli strikes on Homs city

 An agency affiliated with the Damascus government reported that an Israeli bombardment on the city of Homs and its countryside resulted in deaths and injuries, including a number of civilians, and material damag, while air defense forces responded to the missiles and claimed to have shot down some of them.

A military source told the agency that at around 30:00 AM today, "the Israeli enemy launched an air attack from north of Tripoli, targeting a number of points in the city of Homs."

The source added, "The strikes damaged both private and public property."

In turn, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights indicated that ambulances and firefighting teams rushed to the targeted locations near the municipal stadium in the south of the city, the Auras area, and near the Homs refinery, and the Qusayr area, and transported two people of unknown identity, amid information about the assassination of a leading figure in Pro-Iranian groups

The Observatory reported to Syria that more than 9 explosions occurred in the city of Homs and its countryside on military points for the Damascus forces and the Lebanese Hezbollah in the area. A missile also exploded in a building Hamra neighborhood in Homs.
